India, second in Spam Valentine offers

Security firm Trend Micro said India is ranked second in the list of nations sending spam emails and the threat is likely to increase further on the eve of Valentines Day. Cyber criminals are heard to be sending spam mails with special offers, advertisements to the users which are completely unreliable. Trend Micro warned users not click on unknown links that have connection with social media platforms which might share personal information and and be cautious while opening emails with spam attachments.

The security analysts say that users should not accept any free of cost offers, avoid third party invitations and keep their apps, PCs and other devices updated against the malware. To make users fall under their pray, spammers are gifting recipients about romantic spots, sites, scams and spam ads. These ads are the warning bells to users and must overlooked.

About 117 unique sender IPs related to spam were identified and majority of them are from United States, followed India, Ukraine, Canada and Netherlands.
