Document sharing through Whatsapp now

Not just photos or videos, now the Whatsapp users can even share the documents over the chats. This feature is now available on the latest WhatsApp builds available on Google Play and the App Store.

Whatsapp users with version 2.12.453 on Android and version 2.12.14 on iOS, will be able to see a new 'Document’ section under attachments, which allow the users  to attach and share the documents.

The feature, as of now, is however limited to PDF files. More document sharing options can be expected in the future days, the sources say.

It should be further noted that, both the sender and receiver should possess the latest version of the app as mentioned above, and only then, the files can be shared between the duo.

Along with the sharing of documents, WhatsApp for iOS also has several other updates like sharing the photos and videos from other cloud storage apps such as Google Drive, Dropbox, or Microsoft OneDrive.

Adding to it, the users even have the option of choosing the colour of their choice as the chat background, from the available colours.
