Facebook Removes 7 Million False Information Posts On Coronavirus:- Facebook on Tuesday removed over 7 million posts on coronavirus that are false. All these were posted during the second quarter of the year about novel coronavirus. The content included fake numbers, preventative measures and cured statistics. The data has been released as a part of the sixth Community Standards Enforcement Report which was introduced by Facebook in 2018. Facebook also said that they are in plans to rope in experts to audit the metrics that are used in the report. The new process will start next year as per Facebook. A total number of 22.5 million posts containing hate speech are removed by Facebook in its second quarter.
The number of removed posts in the first quarter are said to be 9.6 million. Facebook also said that they had deleted 8.7 million posts about the extremist organizations. Facebook is using an automation technology to review the content during the second quarter of the year. They also had few reviewers in its office after the arrival of the coronavirus pandemic. Facebook is in plans to make this department quite strong in the coming months. Yesterday, violence erupted in Bengaluru after a facebook post went viral. Three people died in the violence which had 1000 participants.
