WhatsApp Updates On Privacy Policy Row:- There have been speculations that the private messages across the messaging platform WhatsApp are leaked which created a panic across the users. The Facebook-owned messaging application issued a clarification that they have changed the revised policy and it does not affect the privacy of the messages that are shared by the users between their friends and family members. The messaging application also issued a clarification that the update includes changes that are related to messaging a business on the platform. Here are some other updates:
WhatsApp cannot see any of the private messages of the users and neither can Facebook. It does not keep the logs of the calls on the platform. WhatsApp cannot have an access of the shared location and the groups will remain private. WhatsApp also announced that the messages can be disappeared. The users can also download their date on WhatsApp. "We don't share this data with Facebook for ads. Again, these private chats are end-to-end encrypted so we can't see their content" shared WhatsApp in the Security and Privacy section on the official website. WhatsApp suggested the users to change their message settings to disappear from the chats after sending them and this can be done through the additional privacy feature.
This is the second time WhatsApp issued a clarification to put an end to all the speculations. WhatsApp has over 400 million users in India alone.
