Instagram is going to launch a new text-based app, which will be a strong competitor for Twitter. This new app is going to be separate from Instagram but will connect its users through their contacts. The app going to have its debut in June according to the leaked information. There are some screenshots of the app circulating on social media platforms, which feel alike to Twitter. The promotional screenshots were shared by Lia Haberman.
According to Lia Haberman, they are hosting secret meetings with select creators to share details. The text content on the platform will be significantly 500 characters in length, whereas Twitter allows only 280 characters for free users. In the screenshot of the new app, we can see thread replies, like on Twitter. In the new app same to Instagram, you can make your account private and can restrict your followers. More details about the new app will be out very soon.
