WhatsApp to roll out Disappearing Messages option soon:- WhatsApp is all set to roll out the option of disappearing messages to the users soon. The new feature was spotted in October and will let the users to make their messages disappear from their chats after seven days. This feature would be made available for individuals as for the group messages and the option would not be available for forwarded messages. As per the WhatsApp beta tracker, the disappearing messages option will be restricted for seven days period. The users will not have any option to customize the time period of disappearing messages as of now. This new feature on WhatsApp will not have any impact on the previous messages that are sent or received.

If the users never opened WhatsApp in the past seven days, the notifications would pop-up and they would get disappeared after the users go through his messages. WhatsApp mentioned that the disappearing of messages will be a part of the backup. The messages will get deleted after the user restores them from the backup. The recipient can save the media content on his mobile phone if the auto-download option for WhatsApp is enabled. WhatsApp also created some dedicated pages to provide a detailed process on how to enable the feature once the option is available:

1. Open WhatsApp chat and tap on the contact for whom you wish to turn on or off the feature of disappearning message.

2. Tap on the 'Disappearing Message' option.

3. Tap on Continue.

4. Select on or off as per the requirement.
