Tollywood Power Star Pawan Kalyan, one of the leading actors of Telugu cinema,who has turned 46 is celebrating his birthday today (2 September).

Most actors celebrate their birthdays with big fanfare by throwing parties, but Pawan Kalyan has been different. The actor has never celebrated his birthday since he was a child.

On his birthday the actor completely cuts himself off from the world and travels to an undisclosed location.

“Even his mother is unaware of his whereabouts during this time of the year. He wants to spend the whole day by himself and won’t meet anyone,” says a source close to Pawan Kalyan.

The shooting of the actor’s upcoming film will begin only after his political meeting in Kakinada on September 9. “He is now thinking only about the meeting and once it is done, he will decide when the shooting for the film should begin,” added the source.

The movie directed by Dolly of Gopala Gopala fame will be produced by  Sharat Marar. Kalyan made his acting debut in 1996 Telugu film “Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbayi”. In 1998, he starred in “Tholi Prema” which won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Telugu for that year. In 2015, he enacted Lord Krishna in thesleeper hit Gopala Gopala.

He is known for his works in films Gokulamlo Seetha, Suswagatham, Thammudu, Badri, Kushi, Jalsa, Gabbar Singh for which he received the Filmfare Award for Best Actor in Telugu and Attarintiki Daredi which became one of the highest grossing Telugu film of all time. He was listed 26th in the Forbes India list of top 100 Celebrities of 2013. As of 2014, he holds a net worth of ₹185 million (US$2.7 million). He produces films under the banners Anjana Productions and Pawan Kalyan Creative Works.

In March 2014, he ventured into politics, founding the Jana Sena Party. During that period, Pawan Kalyan was listed by Google as the most searched Indian celebrity politician on Google search.
