CPI leader Narayana along with some congress leaders of the T region today alleged that former chief minister Mr. K. Rosaiah was responsible for the present situation in the state.
Reacting to the statement of Rosaiah that he made it clear to the party president Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh on December 9, 2009 that it would be impossible to get a resolution passed in the assembly in favour of Telangana, Narayana criticised Rosaiah for not introducing the resolution in the assembly as directed by his party bosses.
“If Rosaiah had introduced the resolution in the assembly, the shape of the agitation would have been totally different,” said Narayana, adding that the former chief minister alone should take up the responsibility for messing up things in the state.
Rosaiah said on Sunday that the high command had asked him to get the pro-Telangana resolution passed in the assembly but he told the party president and the prime minister on December 9, 2009 that the resolution would not get passed in the assembly as there was no unanimity on the issue.
Former ministers R. Damodar Reddy and Jeevan Reddy also found fault with Rosaiah for not introducing the resolution as desired by the high command. “It is nothing but violation of high command’s directives,” they said.
