Interpol Issues Red Corner Notice Against Nirav Modi's Wife:- Indian businessman and jeweller Nirav Modi along with his family fled from the country after they owe crores of money for Indian banks. Nirav Modi was held and is under the custody in London. The case is under investigation. The Interpol issued a red corner notice against Nirav Modi's wife Amy Modi. The notices are issued in connection with the money laundering cases that are registered against her in India. Red Corner Notice is an international arrest warrant and the person can be held in any part of the world. Red Corner Notices are issued against Nirav Modi, his brother Nehal and sister Purvi in the past. The 48-year-old Nirav Modi was arrested in London last year and the case against extradition is currently going in a London court.

Nirav Modi is currently lodged in Wandsworth Prison in London. Mehul Choksi, the uncle of Nirav Modi is residing in the Caribbean Islands and he cited health reasons for not returning back to India. Nirav Modi and Mehul Choksi are alleged of a bank fraud worth Rs 6498.20 crores to Punjab National Bank. The Central Bureau of Investigation started its enquiry but Nirav Modi and Mehul Choksi fled from the country in 2018. Nirav Modi's properties worth Rs 330 crores have been seized by the Enforcement Directorate officials last year and they include properties in India, London and UAE. Now a red corner notice against his wife Amy Modi is issued. The Indian officials are quite confident on the extradition of Nirav Modi and his family very soon.
