Nirav Modi's Remand Extended in the UK:- Top jeweler and businessman Nirav Modi went absconding from the country after he owes a huge amount of money to Punjab National Bank. Nirav Modi was nabbed in London and the case is pending in the UK Court. The Indian government is keen to extradite him back to the country. A London court today extended the remand of Nirav Modi. The 49-year-old businessman appeared before the court through a video conference from Wandsworth Prison in the south west London. He was spotted dressed in a maroon sweater with a full beard.

The Chief Magistrate Emma Arbuthnot extended his remand for 28 more days till December 29th. The Chief Magistrate told that there would be one more call conference meeting and the final submissions in the case would be closed and submitted. The final hearings in Nirav Modi's case are scheduled for January 7th and 8th in 2021. District Judge Samuel Goozee will hear the final arguments. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) along with the Enforcement Directorate (ED) submitted all the proofs from their investigation and requested for the extradition of Nirav Modi.
