Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday cleaned the ghats of Varanasi and nominated Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav, Indian cricketer Suresh Raina and few prominent personalities. PM Modi is in Varanasi for a two day trip and it is first visit to his constituency after being crowned on the top chair.

On the day one, Modi announced that he will be adopting Jayapur village which is located 30 kms from Varanasi and asked all the Law Makers to adopt a village as part of 'Swachh Bharat' program. Modi received lot of pleas, suggestions from the local people to restore Varanasi's global stature.
