The fifth and final leg of voting in Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand has begun and voters are making their way to the polling stations despite the unfavourable weather conditions. 20 seats in J&K and 16 seats in Jharkhand across six districts are in poll race. 2,366 polling stations are arranged in Jammu & Kashmir and tight security arrangements are made in hyper sensitive areas.
BJP which is looking to form government in Jharkhand has quite a good expectations. BJP is fighting 15 seats among the 16 and 30,90,069 people have the eligibility to cast their vote. Prime Minister Narendra Modi appealed to the people to utilize their right to vote. “I urge all those voting in the 5th & final phase of J&K and Jharkhand Assembly polls to turnout in record numbers & vote,” tweeted Modi.
