Rahul Gandhi pays homage to KAKA

Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi paid tributes to Venkat Swamy who passed away last night. Rahul Gandhi arrived Hyderabad in a special flight and directly reached Panjagutta where Venkat Swamy was cremated. He met the family members of KAKA and consoled them personally. The Telangana state government hosted the guard of honours to the 85 year old.

Congress party supporters and KAKA fans attended the cremation ceremony in massive number.  Meanwhile, Telangana Congress leaders are pitching their voice with demand of a memorial in the name of KAKA. Former Karimnagar MP Ponnam Prabhakar, urged the government to honour KAKA with due respect and this was backed by former minister Sridhar Babu. “A memorial park in the name of KAKA at Necklace Road or Banjara Hills or wherever the government has adequate land would be a befitting send off,” added Ponnam.
