Finally, after a much awaited delay, Google has decided to launch its 7 inch tablet with cellular capabilities in India today. The 32 GB variant of the tablet which was introduced quite some time ago in the rest of the world has been introduced to the Indian shores now.
The Google Play store is selling a WiFi only device but the stores like Croma have been selling the WiFi+3G version as well. Hitherto, only a 16GB variant was available in India. The WiFi only model is available for Rs 18,999, while the Wi-Fi+3G model is conveniently priced at Rs 21,999. This price point is cheaper than the iPad Mini with the 3G version with 16GB storage.
The quad core tablet is unrivaled in the price segment and is a strong competitor to the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 which is yet to reach India. With JellyBean, Android 4.1, out of the box, and a ready update to Android 4.2 JellyBean, this deal is a steal.
