Indian smartphone makers Micromax has launched their first edition Microsoft operating system [OS] phones yesterday into the Indian market. The Canvas Win W121 and Canvas Win W092 will come up with Window 8.1 OS and surprisingly they are price below ten grand.
Both devices are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 200, which is a low-end Cortex-A7 1.2 GHz quad core processor and feature 1 GB of RAM each. The W121 comes up with a 5-inch display with an HD resolution, while the W092 has a 4-inch display and both have the dual sim support.
The higher end phone W121 has 8 megapixel camera and 2 megapixel front camera. 8 GB is the internal storage capacity and can be extended. Apart from this W121 comes with proximity, gravity, and light sensors, an accelerometer and with a leather finish back panel. The lower end phone W092, sports 5 megapixel rear and 0.3 megapixel front camera. It carries the same storage capacity.
How far, these Windows phone will excel in the smaller segment where Nokia is ruling.
