WI tail enders make match tense

Indian skipper Virender Sehwag won the toss and elected to bowl first in the second one-day international against the West Indies at the Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Stadium Vishakhapatnam, Friday. India picked the same playing eleven that played in the Cuttack game while the West Indies brought in Ravi Rampaul for Anthony Martin.

The West Indies recovered to make 269 for 9 against India, as the top order crumbled up putting up a meek score of 170 for 9 in 36 overs. Then Rampaul, walking in at No.10 smashed an unbeaten 86 off 66 balls. His 99-run stand with Kemar Roach staged a remarkable fight-back for the West Indies, which helped them put up a formidable score.  While Umesh Yadav, took three wickets for India and wrecked the guests.

In reply the hosts too lost two early wickets and were in a little bad shape, the wickets of P Patel (2) and G Gambhir (12). Later chased down 270 runs courtesy Kohli's (118) second century at the venue and Sharma's fluent unbeaten 90. The two fully entertained the capacity crowd with their batting histrionics. The hosts comfortably reached the target with 11 balls in hand and took a 2-0 lead in the five match series.
