Congress MP from the Telangana region Mr Vivek said today there are chances of the Centre announcing its decision on the formation of the Telangana state before September 17.
Speaking to reporters at the NTPC guest house in the Godavari Khani, Mr Vivek said that they are not running after political posts. “What we want is Telangana state,” he said, adding, they are prepared to take whatever steps are needed for attaining Telangana.
Referring to the statement of former Chief Minister Mr K. Rosaiah that Telangana state would not be achieved with street fighting and agitations, the MP said the comments of Rosaiah have dampened the spirits of Telangana people.
Speaking about the revival of the Ramagundam Fertilizer factory, Vivek said that the Centre would soon announce package of Rs.5000 Cr for the purpose.
