Omicron Scare Reaches India: Two Cases Reported:- The new variant of coronavirus named Omicron is named to be extremely dangerous and highly transmissible all over. The virus was first traced in South Africa and it is now spread across 29 countries of the globe. The Indian government imposed several restrictions for international passengers reaching the country and the new rules are implemented from yesterday. Lav Agarwal, the Joint Secretary of Union Health Ministry interacted with the media to share the details. He said that two cases of Omicron are traced in India and both the cases are reported from Karnataka.
Both of them are men and they are aged 46 and 66 respectively. They are kept under home isolation and their health condition is stable. Lav Agarwal said that the people did not have serious symptoms and their identities are kept under wraps for now. There are other positive cases from international flyers and their samples are verified. All these patients are kept in home isolation in various hospitals. Lav Agarwal told that there is nothing to panic and he asked the people to be extra cautious considering the spread of coronavirus. The new cases and the active cases in India saw a huge decline in the recent weeks. The government of India asked the people to mask up when they are in public places.
