The 12th India Auto Expo 2014, India's largest auto carnival, starting onâFebruary 5 is likely to see the launch of 40 new cars. But, the total launches will be 70 in different product categories. Car manufacturers have great hope on the Auto Expo to revive auto sales that has been affected by the recession.
Sugato Sen, the deputy director-general of Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) reportedly said that in 2014 over 70 launches will take place against 46 in 2013. The 12th Auto Expo will see the participation of 47 vehicle manufacturers, Sen said. Sen also said that hopefully the Auto Expo will change the market sentiment and revive sales.
For greater space management the Auto Expo this year will be be held in Greater Noida at India Expo Mart, in Uttar Pradesh, instead of in Delhi.
