Flipkart Floating Free Streaming Platform in India:- Walmart owned Flipkart is the leading e-commerce platform in India. After impressing millions of online shoppers across the country, Flipkart is in plans to float a free video streaming service for its customers to compete with its rival Amazon-owned Prime Video. Amazon is currently charging Rs 999 per year for its subscribers. Amazon offers special benefits for Prime subscribers like free delivery and next day delivery. Though Flipkart introduced Flipkart Plus, it made no difference for the e-commerce giant.
Flipkart is now in plans to start their streaming platform from September this year. A beta version is currently in pipeline and the company wanted not to reveal the details as of now. Flipkart is in talks with Walt Disney Co and in India they are in talks with Balaji Telefilms. Flipkart as of now wishes to offer this subscription for free to woo their customers. The streaming platforms gained momentum across the country and the viewers watching web content got doubled in the recent times. Hence Flipkart is in plans to start their own streaming platform.
