The Indian mobile maker, Micromax, which had recently made the news with its Funbook Pro, a 10” tablet running Android 4.0, ICS has revealed that it would soon launch a smartphone that would operate on the same Android OS. The phone would also feature a 5” screen with a resolution of 480x854 pixels and comes with a flash equipped 5 MP camera.
It has been spotted on HomeShop18.com where it was available for Rs 9999 but not yet on sale. The phone also boasts of a 4GB internal memory that could also use a 32 GB microSD card. A long battery life can be expected with the 2000 mAh battery. The RAM and ROM details were not available yet. Other features usually available in all mobiles at this price range are 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, Radio etc. This fully loaded phone has the measurements of 142.2 x 72.6 x 11.9 gms weighing a modest 168 grams.
The mobile makers have announced an event on Friday where they would possibly launch the phone.
It would be a tough competitor to the yet to be unveiled Spice Mi500 Stellar Horizon, which also announced a 5 inch screen.
